Yuli from Israel came to visit last summer. I went to work. She went to Fenway Park from Ashmont – on foot. Through Codman Square, past the Boys & Girls Club where the cop car spends summer nights camped on the corner. Up Blue Hill Avenue smelling barbecue by the golf course. She liked the park; made a left through Egleston and Jackson Square. All the Spanish store names! Down the Southwest Corridor, past the mosque. Left at the police headquarters, and through the Fens. When I asked Yuli about her day, she told me she walked the Freedom Trail.
Freedom Trail
Yuli, quien es de Israel, vino de visita el verano pasado. Yo me fui al trabajo. Ella se fue a Fenway Park desde Ashmont—caminando. Atravesó Codman Square y el Boys & Girls Club donde un carro de un policía se instala en la esquina todas las noches del verano.
