4TH OF JULY IN BOSTON

2ND PLACE YOUTH CATEGORY

As I walk outside, the aroma of gunpowder fumes my nose and the sky lights up with beautiful colors. Little kids run around with pop sticks in their hands as the males light the fireworks in the middle of the street then gallop over to the sidewalk before the roaring booms begin. One by one, the fireworks shoot up in the air, mistaking them for gunshots if you were around the block but the dark skies light up with the aesthetic rainbow colors. The fireworks in Boston don’t stop until the month ends, and the violence begins.
